Editor’s Note: “Instagram Fashion Finds” is a blog series featuring designers and brands I’ve stumbled across in my endless Instagram scrolling. While some of the designers are couture and others ready-to-wear, each brand has caught my eye because of their visual aesthetic and overall style vibe.
Derived from the French conjugation “Elle aime”, meaning “She Loves”; Elleme is centered around the concept of putting forward each woman’s uniqueness, finesse and strength. Based in Paris, and founded by Jingjing Fan, Elleme brings you meticulously designed pieces defined by simplicity, timelessness and singularity.
Founded in 2015, Elleme is rapidly making a name for itself because of the brand’s use of texture, contrasting colors, and easily identifiable handwriting. By now, you’ve probably seen the brand on Instagram, whether through their personal account or from influencers toting around the Baozi bag. The Chinese dumpling shaped bag can be seen on the likes of Who What Wear UK’s Hannah Almassi and on influencers such as Marissa Cox, Doina, and Sofie Valkiers. Whether paired with a suit or used for a casual beach stroll, the Baozi bag is an elevated take on the basket bag trend.
Aside from the coveted Baozi, the brand boasts a wide variety of handbags, all within the mid-range price. As Grazia notes, “the label has a store in Paris and is stocked by Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Farfetch, which is always a good indicator of not just taste but quality.” A mid-range quality bag? You better stag them before they oversaturate Instagram!
